What curricular do Makini Schools follow?Makini Schools follow the complete Kenyan 8.4.4 curricular. We currently do not have an international curricular. However, the K.C.S.E national exam is accepted for American and other University entries. For British Universities a bridging course may be required, or IB qualifications. A student can smoothly transition from the 8.4.4 primary school to any other system of education.
Does Makini School have IB?Makini Schools does not have IB at present.
Does Makini School have boarding facilities?All our campuses are day schools.
Are there any campuses outside of Nairobi?Yes, Makini Schools has two campuses in Kisumu County, in Kibos and Migosi, offering pre-school and primary education. The Migosi campus offers pre-school to class 2 level, after which the students transition to the Kibos campus.
Is school transport available?Yes, school transport is available to almost all areas of Nairobi. School transport is also available in the Kisumu campuses. The school buses pick and drop over 1,000 students out of our total population. Click here to see our bus routes.
Is there a deadline for admissions?Admissions are usually done during the holidays so that the children begin at the beginning of a new term. However, there is no strict deadline and entry is subject to availability of space in the respective class/ form.
Is there an admission fee?Yes, there is a non-refundable application form/interview fee of 1,650 kes. subject to minor adjustments.
How do I access information on my child’s progress and fees?Once you are a parent at the school, you will be given access to the parents portal accessible via our website. You will need to login to access this info. Alternatively, the school offices are open for queries during working hours.
