The teachers were specifically those who are set with the task of preparing Makini Kibos’s very first standard eight candidates of 2017. Since the school opened its doors in 2012 on what was then a farm, they have grown organically and built new spacious classroom. This allowed them to roll out to class seven in 2016 and prepare for their first KCPE next year.
The spacious land will also have a magnificent sporting complex. The library and Science laboratory are underway following the school’s official inauguration in August, 2015.
The teachers at Kibos, as part of the Makini community are eager to ensure their children are well equipped to sit for their KCPE confident in the forthcoming result. The benchmarking activity is therefore aimed at achieving this goal. The exercise involves touring the schools, mingling with the Makini Ngong panel heads and discussing teaching methodologies. This is followed by observation and mentoring done during actual ongoing classes.
Senior teacher of Makini Ngong Upper School, Mrs Kweya, assured the Kibos team that Makini Ngong would walk this journey with them as a family.
