Makini Welcomes New High School Principal

31 May 2016

Pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Heraclitus said that change was the only constant. Makini sends a very warm welcome to our new High School Principal, Immaculate Musambai. This is a change that has been wholeheartedly embraced by the Makini community.

We believe the new principal will work with the rest of the Makini community to drive our high school to the next level, for indeed Makini intends to retain its position as a leader in quality and holistic education.

Madam Immaculate brings with her vast experience in education from as far as Rwanda where she worked at a private school. She is a teacher of geography and physical education and holds a masters in Population Studies.

Operations Director Angelica Ouya reminded the school of the adage that teachers never get old, “We always introduce incoming teachers as, “meet the new teacher, teachers are always new.”

Executive Director Dr. Mary Okelo extended her welcome to Immaculate whom she said was directed to the school by God in such a timely manner. She gave the most positive impression among all the applicants.

Madam Immaculate expressed her passionate desire to enhance integrity, teamwork, discipline, resilience, tenacity and a heart to serve among our high school students, so that by the time they are graduating they would not see their time in Makini as ‘passing through’ but rather a time they spent ‘serving a purpose.’

Thank you Immaculate and once again, welcome to the family!
