Makini High School Launches Cyber School Programme

31 May 2017

In the presence of Makini Executive Director- Dr. Okelo, Academics Director- Mrs. Kweya, the principal- Mrs. Musambai and the Science Department, the Cyber School digital learning platform was launched into action at the high school science lab.

The platform is developed by Cyber School Technology Solutions, an online education service provider, and features video clips and 3D animations that visually show how processes taught in class- for instance Mitosis in Biology, Polymerization in Chemistry or Inertia in Physics, actually happen.

This initiative, is aimed at helping students apply foundational technology skills- making them more self-sufficient and employable, making learning more experiential and providing teachers the opportunity to integrate technology across the curriculum.

The programme, which is currently in its first phase, will feature Mathematics and all the Science subjects and then gradually incorporate the rest; in consonance with the Ministry of Education’s e-learning directive.
