At the end of every academic year pre-schoolers graduate to primary school where learning becomes more structured. Makini’s early childhood education ensures they make this transition readily, confidently and smoothly. The graduation ceremony is a big ceremony because it sends them off to a new phase of life.

The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Nellie Olang’ (Early Childhood Development Tutor), was joined by Makini Schools Director Mr. Joseph Okelo among others, in celebrating this tremendous feat.

MAKINI PRE-SCHOOL, NGONG RD. CAMPUS
soon after, on November 2, was the graduation ceremony of the Makini Ngong Road pre-schoolers. The drizzle, did not dull the daze of the day, highlighted by choral verse performances, presentations from the Journalists’ club and the Scouts Movement.
The event was graced by Executive Director Dr. Mary Okelo, and Guest of Honour Hon. Jackie Kibukosya Oyugi the Senior Resident Magistrate, Children’s Court Makadara.
Hon. Jackie Oyugi came with a strong message from her profession at the children’s court, “this is the time to set the foundation; it is very hard to change it later. If you need to fix an error, now is the time,” as she reminded parents to make time for their children and to form good relationships with them.
MAKINI SCHOOL MIGOSI
Sixty nine pre-schoolers graduated in Kisumu on October 28, a region where the presence of Makini Schools is growing.
Guest of Honour Madam Celestine Collins, Quality Assurance Kisumu County, reminded parents to be present for their children and engage them in productive activities - not to let the TV be the nanny.

Headteacher Patrick Imbuga envisions the campus expanding to class three in 2018, offering the children a more stable transition to primary school. The campus has also started offering Ballet and Zumba classes.
